About Breathe With Me
Hi, I’m Preston Sandbakken, founder of Breathe With Me. I’ve spent over 10 years practicing and teaching yoga and breathwork, watching how breathing exercises transform stress into calm and exhaustion into energy.
In 2019, I started a nonprofit teaching conscious breathing with traditional methods like breathing beads and community drum circles.
These workshops made a positive impact across:
- Middle & high schools
- Cancer support groups
- Senior homes and fire departments
But I noticed the same problem everywhere: people couldn’t take even 30 deep breaths without losing focus or feeling dizzy. That’s when I realized we’ve forgotten how to use our MOST basic life function.
The Mission Behind the App
There has been severe miseducation about the importance of breathing for human health and happiness. Most people view it as just an automatic process for staying alive, when it is truly our primary connection to life.
Conscious breathing benefits only show up when you stay with a rhythm for several minutes. But we’re so busy-minded and atrophied that this becomes nearly impossible…until now.
I created BreatheWithMe because it’s the perfect method to teach breathwork:
